PDC (Permaculture Design Course) in Romania

A unique opportunity!
This course is a unique opportunity to take a PDC training course with two experienced Permaculture teachers in Romania, a country where the rural lifestyle is still deep connected with the land and in a small mountain village where time seems to have stopped. Also, this is a good opportunity to get in touch and bring energy to a country where the Permaculture movement is still just beginning.
You are invited to join to this idea and this special moment. Permaculture is a design theory and practice that seeks to develop ecological farming systems and sustainable human settlements in an attempt to shape after natural ecosystems.

PDC Permaculture Design Course is a 72 hour course and addressing key themes and core of permaculture.
This course will give students a Permaculture Design Certificate issued by the Permaculture Asociation of UK and recognized by the Romanian Permaculture Asociation and by Permaculture Research Institute worldwide.

Where?
The course will take place at the AMURTEL Farm near the town Pănătău, Buzau County, in ROMANIA located 170 km from Bucharest and 60 km from Buzau.
The course is residential, with two forms of accomodation available:
1. accommodation in rooms with 4-6 beds will be charged a price of 110 €. Bed accommodation is limited.
2. accommodation in your own tent will be free of charge.

When?
The course will begin on the evening of September 26 and will end on October 7, 2012.
This course will have a duration of approximately 80 hours (allowing extra time for translation).
We recommend advanced knowledge of English.

Who are the teachers?
We will have two teaches from the UK with a vast experience in permacultura:
Rod Everett and Mill Millichap.
The course is organized by Claudian Dobos from the Romanian Asosciation of Permaculture, who will also assist them in the training.
How much does it cost?
The organizers and teachers have worked to ensure that the final cost is as low as possible, especially in order to encourage the participation of participants from Eastern European countries.
The cost of the course is € 275, and at least 50% must be paid in advance before the beginning of the course.
This price covers the training materials, training, tent accomodation (own tent) and 3 delicious vegetarian meals per day for the full 11 days.
