Spiritual and Service Activities in Monclova, Mexico

Avadhútiká Ánanda Siddheshvarí Ácáryá continues her dedicated spiritual and service work in Monclova, Mexico, offering regular yoga classes, meditation programs, and community service activities that inspire many people in the local community.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Didi was invited by one of her yoga students, the owner of the company Montajes Frontera, to offer a talk and yoga class for the company’s employees. The program focused on the benefits of yoga and meditation for improving quality of life, strengthening relationships among coworkers, and creating a more harmonious and balanced work environment. The participants appreciated the experience very much and responded with great enthusiasm to the practices.

In addition, a free and open yoga class was organized for the women of Monclova at the Ananda Marga Yoga Center to commemorate International Women’s Day. Seventeen women attended the class, and several expressed interest in continuing to participate regularly in the yoga and meditation programs. The event was very inspiring for both the participants and the organizers.

Service activities also continue steadily in Monclova. Once each month, Margiis organize food distribution for needy families who are caring for their loved ones at Pape Hospital. A dedicated service group collaborates in many ways—through donations, cooking, and distribution. Participants often share that helping others in need has deeply touched them and brought meaningful inner change, inspiring them to continue serving the community with even greater enthusiasm.

Regular spiritual programs are also held throughout the month. Dharma Cakra takes place every Friday, and once each month Margiis gather for Sádhaná Shivir and Akhanda Kiirtana. A study circle on Ananda Marga Elementary Philosophy has also begun, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of the philosophy and its practical application in daily life. These gatherings are filled with uplifting spiritual practices, good company, and delicious sattvik food.

The yoga community also joyfully welcomed the New Year together with collective celebration and fellowship among the students.

Another important initiative is the continued service offered to Narcotics Anonymous through the program “One Step at a Time.” In these sessions, Didi introduces yoga and meditation practices to help support individuals in their recovery journey. Recently, this initiative was featured on the public media channel “Hoy Coahuila,” allowing even more people to learn about the benefits of these practices.

Many of the participants in this program are young women between the ages of fifteen and thirty. They express deep gratitude for the opportunity to learn yoga and meditation, which provide them with strength, clarity, and hope as they rebuild their lives.

Through these ongoing spiritual programs and service activities, the work of Ananda Marga in Monclova continues to grow, bringing inspiration, support, and practical tools for personal transformation to many people in the community.
