Avtk. Ánanda Acirá Ácáryá and Ác. Diiptimánánanda Avt. organized meditation retreats at Ananda Kanan, Missouri, and Ananda Girisuta, North Carolina, during July 2025. Each retreat carried its own special character and unique experiences.
Meditation Retreat at Ananda Kanan (July 16–20, 2025)
At Ananda Kanan, participants attended the regular classes on meditation and spiritual philosophy, while also enjoying special highlights. Brother Sudhiira offered an inspiring art class, and the group visited the Blue Springs River, where they bathed and shared kiirtana and meditation by the water. The weather was cooperative—occasional showers, but otherwise warm and sunny without excessive heat. This retreat was attended entirely by women, who bonded deeply and became close friends, making the retreat atmosphere relaxed and joyful. Their harmony extended into free time, which they happily spent together in uplifting conversation.
Meditation Retreat at Ananda Girisuta (July 23–27, 2025)
The Ananda Girisuta retreat hosted eleven participants, including two volunteers. Brother Dinesh and his wife Lalita offered invaluable support with cooking and cleaning, helping keep the program light and smooth. Activities included a visit to Hot Springs Resort and Spa, a nature walk, and meditation by the serene River Laurent. Several local Margiis joined for the weekend sessions of Paincajanya, Dharma Cakra, and meals, enriching the retreat with community spirit.
Both retreats were marked by a spirit of joy, simplicity, and inspiration. At Ananda Kanan, the participants’ bonding created a close-knit atmosphere, while at Ananda Girisuta, the help of dedicated volunteers and the participation of local Margiis gave the retreat a welcoming family feeling.
