Avtk. Ananda Hitaprabha Ac. – Good News

In addition to participating in several larger sector and regional programs that are reported separately, Avtk. Ánanda Hitaprabha Ácáryá continues to play an active role in local pracár, women’s programs, spiritual gatherings, and community service initiatives, particularly in the New York area and beyond. Her recent activities reflect steady grassroots engagement in organizing retreats, teaching, outreach, and service.

From March 13–15, 2026, Didi Ananda Hitaprabha helped arrange and organize the Margii Spring Retreat at Ananda Priiti MU in Atascosa, Texas, with around 20 margiis and their children attending. From March 20–22, 2026, she also helped organize a new Sisters’ Retreat at the same location, attended by around 10 sisters. From April 3–6, she toured Virginia and Washington, D.C., where two sisters learned meditation. On April 18, she helped organize an Akhanda Kiirtan at Didi’s house in Queens, New York. On April 26, she assisted in organizing the Birthday Baba Celebration and vegetarian dinner at the Marriott Hotel, attended by around 50 people, followed the next day by food distribution for approximately 70 homeless individuals. 

From April 30–May 3, she attended the Baba Birthday Celebration and Spring Retreat at the Roscoe Retreat Center with around 50 margiis, where she also conducted a workshop on the interaction of Yama and Niyama. In addition, she regularly teaches yoga classes for seniors, adults, children, and at various centers throughout New York City.
