International Yoga Day 2025

Ananda Marga at the United Nations HQs for International Yoga Day in New York

Ananda Marga once again joined the International Day of Yoga at the UN Headquarters, representing the spiritual depth of Tantra Yoga on this global stage. The program was graced by the presence of Ác. Madhuvratananda Avt., who attended as the representative of AMPS Central. A dedicated team of Ácáryas led simple yet powerful asana demonstrations and chanting, sharing the essence of our path: “Self-Realization and Service to All.”

Their contribution emphasized yoga not merely as physical exercise, but as a profound means to harmonize inner and outer life. The message of unity and peace through spiritual practice was warmly received by the international audience, which included delegates, yoga practitioners, and community leaders from around the world.

The event also featured the participation of long-time friends of Ananda Marga, including Dileepkumar Thankappan (Guru Dileep ji) and his organization, who have been active collaborators in promoting yoga and interfaith harmony. The collective presence of Ananda Marga alongside such partners underscored the importance of cooperation in spreading the universal message of yoga as a path toward peace, well-being, and unity across cultures.

Ananda Marga also participated in several other International Day of Yoga celebrations across the New York area and beyond. Programs organized by the Consulate General of India in New York provided a significant platform to showcase yoga’s deeper dimensions, and our Ácāryas were present to share the message of Self-Realization and Service to All. These gatherings brought together diverse communities, with Ananda Marga’s contribution adding a spiritual depth to the atmosphere of collective practice.

In addition, Ananda Marga collaborated with long-time friend Dileepkumar Thankappan (Guru Dileep ji) and his World Yoga Community, which has been hosting Yoga Day programs for many years. Through these collaborations, our presence helped bridge spiritual practice with cultural exchange, allowing new participants to encounter Baba’s universal vision. Together with these partners, Ananda Marga contributed to the spirit of unity, devotion, and service that International Yoga Day seeks to inspire worldwide.
