Kiirtana Retreat and Sadhana Shivir at Ananda Girisuta, Easter Weekend 2026

A deeply inspiring Kiirtana Retreat was held at Ananda Girisuta Master Unit from April 3–6, 2026, bringing together margiis and friends from the Atlanta Region and beyond for a joyful immersion in devotion, spiritual practice, and fellowship. The retreat was attended by 71 margiis and Ácáryas.

Set amidst the peaceful natural beauty of Ananda Girisuta, the retreat offered a vibrant devotional atmosphere centered around kiirtana, collective meditation, spiritual inspiration, and meaningful fellowship. The program featured uplifting Akhanda Kiirtana sessions with extended devotional singing, along with meditation, spiritual discussions, and opportunities for personal reflection in nature. Each day included two Akhanda Kiirtanas, while Sunday featured a special six-hour Akhanda Kiirtana from noon until 6:00 p.m., creating an especially powerful devotional atmosphere.

Following the Kiirtana Retreat, 21 margiis remained at Ananda Girisuta for a weeklong Sádhaná Shivir. This silent meditation retreat offered an intense and deeply transformative program of extended alternating sessions of kiirtana and meditation. The retreat was organized by Brother Devashiisha, who traveled from Puerto Rico to facilitate the program. Participants deeply appreciated this opportunity for profound inner practice, and the Asheville Bhukti now intends to establish this Sádhaná Shivir as an annual event.

The entire program provided a beautiful opportunity to recharge spiritually, strengthen bonds within the sangha, and deepen one’s connection with Baba through collective sádhaná and devotional expression. Participants especially appreciated the serene atmosphere of the Master Unit, where the harmonious combination of nature, spiritual practice, and collective inspiration created a deeply memorable and spiritually uplifting experience.
