On August 2nd, the New York Sectorial Office hosted a New People Pracar program with the participation of about 20 newcomers along with margiis. The event created a joyful and uplifting atmosphere as everyone joined together in lectures, collective meals, kiirtan, and meditation. The program was warmly received, and both newcomers and margiis expressed appreciation for the spiritual inspiration and collective spirit shared throughout the day.
On August 24th, Avtk. Ananda Hitaprabha Ac. attended the Healing Deep Within program of the HWPL organization, representing Ananda Marga. Sister Niranjana contributed by singing a Prabhat Samgiita, which added a deeply spiritual touch to the gathering and was warmly appreciated.
After-school Program in New York
From September 4 to 12, the Ananda Marga Center in Flushing, New York (NYSO) reopened its afterschool program with a fresh start for the new semester. The week began with community outreach through flyering and enrollment activities, which resulted in eleven children joining the program. The classes are conducted by a dedicated team of four volunteers under the leadership of Ac. Kovid Brc. In preparation for the new term, NYSO underwent a thorough cleanup and reorganization—volunteers cleaned the basement and school area, repainted several rooms, and rearranged materials to create a bright and inspiring environment for learning and play. The renewed space and enthusiastic team have brought a wave of positive energy to the center, reinforcing NYSO’s role as a lively hub for community education and service.
