A historic Purodha Maha Sabha was successfully organized from 21 to 26 February 2026, marking the first comprehensive training assembly of Purodhas since 2015. The Maha Sabha was convened by the Purodha Board for the overall ideological, spiritual, and organizational strengthening of Purodhas under the banner of Ananda Marga.
Guiding Inspiration:
The Maha Sabha received direct guidelines and inspirational direction from the revered Acarya Vishvadevananda Avadhuta, Purodha Pramukh. His address emphasized ideological clarity, moral integrity, disciplined conduct, and responsibility towards maintaining the highest standards of Purodha life.
Intensive Training Sessions:
A series of comprehensive training classes were conducted throughout the period.
• In view of conception, lessons of Vishesh Yoga were beautifully explained and simplified by senior most respected Acarya Rudrananda Avadhuta jii, providing deeper insight into spiritual refinement and internal discipline.
• Daily sessions focused on strengthening understanding of the role, qualities, and expected standards of the Purodhas.
Open Forum Discussions:
Each evening, a participatory session was held, giving every Purodha the opportunity to express views on:
• The role and responsibility of Purodhas
• Present standards and challenges
• Ideological depth beyond slogan-level understanding
• Organizational accountability and collective growth
These discussions fostered transparency, sincerity, and mutual learning.
Individual Interviews & RDS Review:
The most serious and significant component of the Maha Sabha was the individual interview process.
Each Purodha was interviewed one by one in a detailed and structured manner. This involved:
• Comprehensive personal and ideological assessment
• RDS (Review, Defect & Solution) analysis
• Constructive corrective guidance
• Evaluation of conduct, commitment, and leadership maturity
This process ensured objective scanning and meaningful introspection for each participant.
Self-Assessment Framework:
A checklist of questions aligned with different ideal standards was distributed to all participants for self-analysis. This tool enabled structured reflection on:
• Ideological conviction
• Spiritual discipline
• Organizational responsibility and commitment
• Personal conduct
Five-Year Roadmap & Strategic Planning:
A five-year roadmap was prepared with clear goals and implementation strategies. The vision for the next five years was articulated, focusing on:
• Strengthening ideological training
• Raising moral and leadership standards
• Organizational efficiency
• Youth engagement and expansion
A formal undertaking was taken from all participants to uphold the commitments and standards discussed during the Sabha.
Concluding Session:
The Maha Sabha concluded with a formal closing session on the morning of 27 February 2026, reaffirming unity, discipline, and renewed dedication to mission ideals.
