A great historical and philosophical summary of Tantra that dispels misconceptions regarding the subject with practical and inspirational pointers on how to apply the principles of Tantra in daily life.
Probably one of the best books on the subject because of how concise ,well researched and pointed the book was organized by the author.
Reading “Tantra: The Yoga of Love and Awakening” is much like eating a gourmet meal, except you are reading at the top of the knowledge chain. This book should be included in all Yoga Teacher Trainings in order to give students a proper view of the origins of yoga. It’s also chock full of information and guidelines for those interested in an even deeper look into historical and philosophical studies of yoga. It can be overwhelming to a new student, and even more so to a seasoned one, because the origins can feel obscured. The more you learn, and in my case – without such a great historical / philosophical guide, the more you realize how little you know. Kick start your knowledge base by reading this well written timeless work and you are all set! I loved it and plan to reference for years to come.
