India Independence Day Parade in Manhattan, New York


On August 18, 2019, The Consulate General of India organized the celebration of the Independence Day of India at Manhattan, New York. Thousands of people were on the streets. Numbers of organizations participated and celebrated India Independence Day. Different faiths and cultures of India presented dance performances. The slogans and music were looking like a festival of India – the Parade was so powerful and effective. Around the Globe, the media has highlighted the event, and numbers of diplomats of the world, leaders, artists, professionals, and film stars were present. Sunil Shetty and Sandeep Grover, Consul at Consulate General of India, New York, were the chief guests of the program. Many Indian-American people took the autograph from the chief guests and shared on Facebook and Instagram.

Ananda Marga also participated in the program with the help of the non-profit organization World Yoga Community. Many people took photographs, and the Dadas had a number of interviews with the news media.
