Silent Meditation Retreat at Ananda Girisuta, February 12 – 16, 2025

A meditation retreat was held at Ananda Girisuta Master Unit in North Carolina, Atlanta Region, from February 12–16, 2025. Organized by Ácárya Diiptimánánanda Avadhúta and Avadhútiká Ananda Acirá Ácáryá, the retreat was attended by eleven participants and focused on deep meditation and the observance of Maonavrata (a vow of silence).

For two-thirds of the retreat, attendees maintained silence, allowing for profound introspection and inner stillness. On the second-to-last day, participants gradually began interacting, sharing their experiences in a spirit of spiritual camaraderie.

A special highlight of the retreat was the participation of a dedicated family from Atlanta—a mother, father, and their eight-year-old son—who have been following the Meditation Steps channel since 2017. Over the past year, they have established a daily practice of collective meditation twice a day for all family members. Their sincerity and discipline in spiritual practice were deeply inspiring. During the retreat, the father and son received initiation from Dada Diiptimánánanda, while the mother was initiated by Didi Ananda Acirá. The retreat provided a powerful space for inner growth, reinforcing the transformative impact of deep meditation and collective spiritual discipline.
