A historic milestone has been achieved by Ananda Marga New York Sector with the establishment and inauguration of the new Ananda Marga Corporate Office and Jagrti in Washington, DC, United States.
With the approval and blessings of the Central organization, the New York Sector Board took the important decision to establish this office, which will serve as a vital center for administrative, legal, and future organizational activities. For many years, the need for such an office had remained a long-pending dream. Through Baba’s grace, sincere dedication, and collective effort, this vision has now become a reality.
The property was officially inaugurated on May 9, 2026, on the sacred occasion of Ananda Purnima, and lovingly offered to Baba. This historic achievement will stand as an important contribution for future generations and for the continued expansion of Baba’s mission in North America.
On this auspicious day, approximately 30 margiis gathered for several hours of kiirtan, meditation, spiritual reflection, and inspired sharing in the newly established jagrti. The atmosphere was filled with devotion, bliss, and spiritual inspiration, making the occasion a shining moment in the ongoing Ananda Purnima celebrations along the East Coast.
The inauguration of this new center in Washington, DC — the capital of the United States — carries deep significance. It is not only a place of political importance but also a city with immense socio-spiritual potential for spreading Baba’s universal ideals of service, spirituality, and Neohumanism.
SS Dada, Acarya Abhiramananda Avadhuta, played a central role in establishing this jagrti together with Family Acarya Dhruva and Sister Devika, whose sincere efforts and dedication were instrumental in finding and securing the property. Special remembrance is also offered to the late margii Brother Lakshman, whose valuable contributions helped make this important project possible.
This accomplishment reflects the spirit of devotion, sacrifice, unity, and collective service. Through the sincere efforts of margiis, Baba’s mission continues to grow and touch countless lives throughout the world.
