“Intuition Retreat” at Ananda Kanak Master Unit, Canada

Ác. Dayashiilananda Avt., Ác. Shiilabhadrananda Avt., Ác. Parinirvanananda Avt., and Avtk. Ánanda Kalyánamitra Ác. organized a Meditation Steps retreat for beginners at Ananda Kanak Master Unit in Quebec from May 8–10, 2026.

The retreat welcomed six adults, two children, and four Ácáryas for a joyful and inspiring weekend designed especially for newcomers to Ananda Marga’s spiritual practices. Set in the peaceful natural environment of the Master Unit, the program offered participants a warm introduction to meditation, yoga philosophy, and devotional practices in a supportive and uplifting atmosphere.

Participants enjoyed a variety of enriching activities, including a forest walk, a RAWA cultural program, a lively question-and-answer session on Aśtáuṋga Yoga, kiirtana, and collective meditation. The retreat provided a meaningful opportunity for learning, spiritual reflection, and fellowship, and was greatly appreciated by all who attended.

Like every time I find myself at Ananda Kanak, on Rang Saint-Louis in Saint-André-Avellin, something inside me gently realigns.

This Intuition Retreat carried a very soft, balanced and peaceful energy. The sun wrapped itself around us, the kirtans echoed through the land, and for a moment, everything felt simple.

We were 11 margiis, two children, people from here and from all around the world, gathered in a beautiful spirit of co-creation. We shared meals, conversations, songs, silence and nature together.

Through meditation and kirtan, we became one.

For me, Ananda Marga reflects the beauty of humanity in all its colors and differences. And this weekend, Baba seemed to smile at us through every ray of sunlight.

A powerful retreat, especially for the women.

Baba Nam Kevalam.
