The Margiis and Acaryas in New York, New Jersey, Boston, and Washington DC organized a Spring Retreat at the Arsha Vidya Gurukulam center in Pennsylvania. The retreat was very successful with more than fifty Margiis and eight Acaryas attending. The theme of the retreat was “Moving Towards Supreme Positivity,” and was reflected in an emphasis on meditation, Kiirtana, and other spiritual practices. We enjoyed Akhanda Kiirtana all the three days of the retreat and could feel how the vibration was getting more subtle every day.
On Saturday morning we had an interesting workshop on meditation led by Acarya Abhiramanananda Avadhuta.
Avadhutika Ananda Acira Acarya came from California for the retreat and led humorous activities and games during and in between programs that made everyone laugh and lighten up. The RAWA evening was very successful with Margiis and Acaryas performing devotional songs, Prabhata Samgiita, and poems in various languages.
It was raining on Friday but on Saturday the sun came out of the clouds, and we could enjoy the beautiful birdsong and warm spring weather. The Arsha Vidya Gurukulam center only serves sentient (Sattvik) food to its visitors, and we could enjoy their tasty Indian dishes as well as salad and fruits.
During the closing ceremony, Acarya Dhruva presented the Ananda Vrati Master Unit, and the recent renovations and new building. Ananda Vrati is about one hour drive from Arsha Vidya and once completed will be available for regional retreats, training programs, and wellness programs. Fundraising is going on for completing the work at Ananda Vrati. The participants shared their experiences during the retreat and prices were given for best RAWA performances.
